In 1927, Wright submitted a series of cover designs to Liberty Magazine. All were rejected as too “radical” and never published. Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers was his interpretation of a desert landscape. The image became one of Wright’s most popular and was transformed into an art glass pattern for the Arizona Biltmore Hotel.
