In 1889, Frank Lloyd Wright built his home in Oak Park, IL. He remodeled and enlarged it in 1895, at which time the kitchen was converted to a dining room, the nursery was expanded and converted to a dayroom for his wife, Catherine, and a kitchen and children’s playroom were added to the back of the house.

The design represented in this piece is found in the playroom’s art glass bay windows. The rectangles and squares of the window design form a transparent screen of abstracted flowers and leaves which intermingle with the real ones outdoors. The children’s playroom is rich with geometric shapes, while the floor plan’s crossed rectangles give order to the space.

The glass panel measures 14" X 7.75" and is framed with metal. Comes with both a hanging chain and a display base.
